Forensic accounting is a growing niche that attracts people who can combine the curiosity of a detective with excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail. Salaries can rise quickly after entering the career and there is no requirement to have studied accounting at undergraduate level. Taught modules include Fraud Examination, Financial Crime and Fraudulent Statement Analysis. ‘Forensic’ means suitable for use in court and you’ll learn how to identify and present evidence to the highest standards. You’ll also undertake a double module on Global Management Competencies alongside other postgraduate students at Newcastle Business School, to help you stand out on the international jobs market.
