Minimum 2:1 or equivalent; this programme is also applicable if you are a registered Mental Health, Learning Disabilities or Children's Nurse who wishes to become a NMC registered Adult Nurse. If you are a registered nurse looking for Post-Registration study opportunities within your own field of practice then this course is not suitable and you may wish to consider our other Post-Registration, professional nursing courses delivered at Degree and Master's level. — University will also take into account the employment experience of applicants where relevant. You must also have met our minimum GCSE requirement for Maths and English at Grade 4 / C or above. Following interview, successful candidates will be required to complete a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) online portfolio set against defined NMC outcomes (NMC, 2018), which, on confirmation of achievement, candidates will be eligible to commence the MSc accelerated programme in 2 years. As this course includes patient facing placements in health or social care settings, and these are a mandatory component of the course, you will need to comply with the placement vaccination policy. Failure to meet the placement vaccination policy may prevent you from joining the course or may lead to your withdrawal from the course in the future. Future employment may also be subject to this condition. All applicants who are not a British national and/or whose first language is not English will need to demonstrate a suitable level of English language proficiency. This is equivalent to an IELTS 7.0 overall, with a minimum of 6.5 in all components, although we do accept many other types of qualifications or tests. In accordance with the UKVI Student visa guidelines, we will also waive the English language requirement for applicants who meet the defined nationality test or who have completed a degree level course in one of the listed countries.
