Our faculty are experts in their fields and active on both sides of the Atlantic. This means you’ll be guided and supervised through your research project by leading practitioners. Areas of study We welcome research applications focusing on the social and political history of the United States. Much of our research focuses on: - US race relations from slavery to civil rights, the Black Power movement and Black Lives Matter - the Cold War and transnationalism after World War II - transnational race relations - the Civil War era - the history of American racial violence. We understand that deciding where and what to study is a very important decision. We’ll make all reasonable efforts to provide you with the courses, services and facilities described in this prospectus. However, if we need to make material changes, for example due to government or regulatory requirements, or unanticipated staff changes, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
