Having completed a masters degree and agreed your research topic with a supervisor, you will continue to explore themes relating to comparative literature and comparative cultural studies, from the Middle Ages to the present. We have particular strengths in the cultural contexts of: - French and Francophone - Hispanic and Lusophone - Slavonic - German - Chinese studies We also welcome projects involving film, TV and media studies. Attending research seminars and special lectures will be an important part of your doctoral journey. You will also have the opportunity to deliver papers of your own.
