The taught part of the course aims to familiarise you with the range and variety of disciplines required for a thorough critical understanding of the field in all its complexity and of the means and methods that have been devised to understand it better.

Applicants are expected to have either an Honours degree (at the UK standard of a good 2.1), a grade point average of 3.7 or higher, or to produce evidence of relevant and equivalent experience and their fitness to read for a Master's degree. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 7.5 (a minimum of 7.0 in each individual component).
