They will be able to evaluate and analyse findings and discussions in the political science literature, conceptualise problems in political analysis and political practice and be able to conduct small-scale, independent research on topics in political science. Graduates will be qualified for careers in public affairs including politics, the civil service, think tanks, lobbying and civil society organisations. Some graduates may be able to continue to the Master of Political Science (MPols, VI001S) or a research-based masters degree. The PGDipPols also acts as a step-off qualification for students unable to complete the MPols.
