For entry into Te Aho Paerewa candidates are required to: hold a Bachelor's degree with at least a B grade average across the 200 & 300 level papers, or equivalent: be a fluent speaker of Te Reo Māori; have demonstrated competence in literacy and numeracy in Te Reo Māori; meet the requirements for registration as set down by the EDUCANZ in terms of good character and fitness to be a teacher; be selected into the programme following a selection process which may include: Police Vetting, a written application, interview, and written and/or practical exercises.
