Graduates from the — University Master of Sport Management degree programme will: Have further developed their in-depth knowledge and skills in sport management, either through professional experience or professional educational programmes in areas related to sport management. Have developed an understanding about the structure and essence of sport throughout New Zealand. Have gained practical work experience in the sport industry in New Zealand. Have gained exposure to sport industry professionals through in-class guest lectures, field trips, internships, and researching for assignments. Have developed an international perspective on sport management. Be able to work independently and in teams and to interact effectively with colleagues, clients and other professionals in the field. Be practised in clearly and concisely communicating the findings of an investigation in oral and written form. Have completed and presented a report on professional practice experience. A graduate of the Master of Sport Management with a class of Honours will be able to proceed to research master degrees, for research training, and thence to doctoral study.
