The admission committee reviews the following in considering candidates for this program: A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university. Official transcripts are required showing proof of degree and all courses taken (3.00 GPA out of 4.00 is the working standard). Successful completion of at least six semester hours of university level credit in each of the following content areas: English, math, science, social studies, and a language other than English. Sign language may be used for the language requirement. Thirty semester hours in an arts or sciences major in the subject area of teaching certification. A personal interview and writing sample.
