To enter a specific four-year Major program, a student must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours, and must normally have achieved a minimum grade of “C+” in at least one introductory course designated by the department(s). One of the entry routes to the Physics & Astronomy Major program, has a more rigorous entry requirement than listed above; please see the calendar entry for more details. Any student who, prior to being admitted to a four-year Major program that has completed more than 30 credit hours will be allowed to apply those excess credit hours which meet the specifications of the program to the four year Major program.
